Guitar and violin duet Johnny
Bonneville & Fiddlin Phil Swaby give a new life to some old songs on
this CD. Paying tribute to Pete Seeger's Song book, "America's Favorite
Folk Ballads" the duet covers six not so well known folk songs and six original compositions.

Live At The Grog And Tankard

Tracks: Alabama
Bound /
The Riddle Song / This Train / Son Of Sam
Survive / Buffalo Gal / Swing Low Sweet Chariot
Here's our "Live CD",
featuring the B-side recordings of our "Studio CD" DEVILS, FARMS &
TRAINS. It's not a snapshot of the brightest moments during our musical
career, but rather a testimonial to the raw guts & genesis of our
musical journey together.
Details:
Phil recorded this CD directly to mini-disk, mixed it at home, and
mastered it during our studio sessions. Finally, we want to thank J.B.
Beverley (track #1) and Bob & Andy from "Jack Could'nt Make It"
(track #7) for making guest appearances at our shows and on this
recording. So sit back, give a listen, and come with us for a smokey
night in a little bar in upper Georgetown called the Grog & Tankard.

Boy Slim said: "Ignite-It!" Partly as homage to reggae music and partly
as a musical reply to the people who attend the Smoke-In. Held on July
4th in Washington DC for the past 43 years, this rally, march and
concert is the longest running demonstration advocating drug policy
reform in the United States. The Smoke-In has undergone several changes
during its lifetime since being born out of the BE-IN era of political
movements in 1970. Politicians in Washington view this demonstration as a
youthful indiscretion at best and tend to ignore the event. But this
grassroots demonstration has an indelible appeal to the people who
attend it by unleashing the pride and empowerment of being a marijuana
activist. Many thanks to the people involved in producing this
demonstration year after year. Please support the artists heard on this
recording who have donated their time & talent. They truly deserve
credit for the belief that some day marijuana prohibition shall end.
